I'll find you now My Little Pretty!
No..i didn't come up with this idea.
Most Camera companies sell a lense cap that has a black connector cord and stick patch.
But I'm thinking they didn't get the memo that Mommy Bloggers like gadgets with a ..
little more bling. Right!
Here is a craftier way to keep from losing that little black cap.
You will need sticky back velcro patches. (black not white)
(One for the camera lense and One for the Pretty embellishment)
I like the velcor patch for the lense cap because it really does stay but still can be removed!
NOTE* I opted for NO sew for the embellishment piece because you will not be removing this piece often ...
It's the actual Lens cap that gets the removing!!!
Make two round circles about this size
Next..get some black vinyl and make a larger circle.
*NOTE ..I suggest vinyl because it is thinner than felt and this helps prevent a gap between the lens cap and embellishment.
Stick down one of your round velcro pieces to the middle good side of Vinyl.
it should look like this..
Turn it over and HOT glue a small piece of ribbon
to make a small loop that will hang off the end. (for the chain)
I used a 1in. by 22in. strip of fabric to create this.
Fold the piece in half and HOT glue it on top of the ribbon loop.
I then Hot glued the embellishment on top of that.
Then ..i twisted the fabric around and HOT glued under it as i went around.
IF making flowers isn't your thing...
YOU CAN buy ReadyMade flowers at any craft store..YAY!
Just hot glue the vinyl piece to the back!
Now for the Stretchy Chain
The chain needs to be about 6 inches.
I used clear elastic bead cord doubled for the chain for extra durability.
(i want the cord to give a little if i accidentally yank it)
Its hard to see in this picture but I used a ring to attach to the loop.
I then attached the cord to the ring by tying a knot.
I then added beads , a crimp bead, and then the hook.
I put the end of the tie back through the crimp bead and squeezed.
The Crimp bead keeps it from Untying!
I can't wait to see the different variations!
I would love for you to come back and post a link to your picture in the comments here at this post.
Maybe we can do a linky thing.
